At Forest we like to think of ourselves as the Family Club.  We focus on providing a fun environment for players and parents alike. Our goal is to provide a fun and enjoyable environment for kids whilst teaching the basics of Rugby.

We believe in providing a fun environment for kids to play with their mates and develop their rugby skills. Winning is a by-product of this approach, not the driving force behind it.

As a result we pride ourselves on fielding teams in all age groups from Under 6’s to Opens (U18s) and Girls Rugby, the only club in our district to do so.

Season Information

This year we are looking forward to another exciting season of Tri-Tag Rugby for Under 6&7’s and improved tackle height laws for all Juniors that will make playing rugby safer and more fun for all. Starting with optional preseason fitness training (Under 10 – Opens) on Sunday February 16th 2025. Official training will commence for Minis and Juniors on Wednesday the 5th  March 2025.

Mini Rugby is a modified non-competitive game for Under 6 to Under 9 girls and boys. Teams consist of 5 to 10 players depending on the age group with the focus being purely on having fun.

U6 & U7 age groups play the Tri Tag format of rugby union, with no tackling or scrums.  Click here to find out more about the Tri Tag game format.

U8 & U9 age groups introduce tackling plus non-competitive scrums and lineouts.
